Rhodes Motor Lodge is a is a boutique hotel centrally situated on Hwy 321 in Boone, tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains of N.C.

As you enter the lobby there is a photo album filled with old pictures of the Motor Lodge that you can flip through. Seeing those images tells the story and highlights the significance of this space throughout its lifetime. As I sat outside on the back patio one evening, I heard one woman playing classic '70s and '80s music, while a couple of rooms down, others were listening to '80s hair metal. It was incredibly amazing and cool, all I kept thinking about is how this place holds a lot of good from the past into the present moment.
