Emily Lyons-Wood
Hello! Glad you’re here! I could go the ole artists statement route but thats not best way I feel represents who I am as an artist or photographer here. Who is “Emily Lyon-Wood”? She’s an everyday person, a female, and a deeply emotional human that craves real human connection and purpose in what she does. Authentic human connection has brought me to love photography. I’ve been driven by curiosity, adrenaline and emotions to document life and people. I think what we see and how we see is manipulated by many personal experiences, my goal is to see through all of the fog, the past, present, the assumptions, the judgments, all of it, to see beauty in what is real and true.
About me: You might find me playing around with a camera but most of the time I’m probably out and about looking for vintage pieces to decorate with or restore, drinking a lot of coffee, cuddling with my greyhounds Stuart and Bramble, getting lost in the woods disc golfing with my best friend/husband Evan and maybe singing a lot of Taylor Swift.
